The entire treatment is 30-60 minutes and requires no downtime. Topical numbing agents or blocks can reduce discomfort. All injections use a very tiny needle which is more comfortable for the patient. Bruising is possible with any injection but is minimal when injecting Restylane® and Restylane Lyft®. Reduce bruising by avoiding the following before treatment: aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, vitamin E, garlic, and ginkgo Biloba. Plan your treatment ahead of special events so that there is time to heal from any swelling or bruising. Results typically last 4-6 months with Restylane® and 8-12 months with Restylane Lyft®.
